Physician may be knowledgeable and competent but very little time spent at my appointment; majority of visit time spent with medical assistant and resident physician. I am a physician myself and did not feel respected. Bedside manner and overall concern not impressive.

Dr. Meghpara several years ago offered to produce a prescription based on an eye exam. That prescription turned out to be completely wrong, and I had to perform another at an optician's office. His office staff behave as if they were at a permanent frat party. When I told the office manager I received about 30 separate appointment reminders, that I was called by first name (when only a last name is precise ID), a technician scolded me for not remembering the name of eyedrops (even though I brought the actual drops to be sure), and when suggested there could be better integration and sharing of information between departments at Wills was told that of course Mid-Atlantic Retina was completely separate, though I am at Wills Eye Hospital, Dr. Meghpara operated w a surgeon from MA Retina, but 'of course' the patient should know they were separate. This holier-than-thou and entitled attitude is typical of the office. In other words it is always the patient's fault. I will not pronounce on… Dr. Meghpara's surgical skills, since I am not a physician. But patient care is a lot more than, possible, skill. It means being able to take constructive criticism and understanding patient issues and situations. That is not the case with his office.

Saw me as an urgent case. Calming, caring, and made me feel less anxious. Really smart!

Dr. Meghpara is the kindest and caring doctor I have ever met. He spends quality time with you and never rushes his exam. I would recommend him to any one.
