Dr. Behrooz Shabahang, MD

Met Dr Shabahang 3 months before lung surgery. We did not expect the surgery to be necessary. Has incredible patient care skills. Put me completely at ease with life-changing surgery. Was there every step of the procedure and aftercare. His office staff is great and informative. I highly recommend Dr. Shabahang and his office. (Hope I never need his skills again, but would not think of going to anyone else)

I meet Dr. Shabahang in St Mary's Emergency. I was told my right lung collapsed. He put a tube in with hopes it would inflate. After seven days he had to go in and staple areas in lung . Put two tubes in and after four days the tubes were removed and I was able to go home. All I can day about Dr. Shabahang is the man's wisdom is above and beyond. Also he will not say he can help or better yet fix the problem unless he can. I highly recommend him to any one who needs his specialty.

Dr. Shabahang was correct with every diagnosis my husband had. He was direct but courteous in his directness. We have never had a doctor give a business card to us with his personal cell number on it. He goes far beyond the norm to take care of his patients. Husband surgery was scheduled for 3 pm on a Friday. The air conditioning was not working in the OR. Doc had 3 surgeries that day with ours in the middle. He made arrangements to use another OR. He concluded husbands surgery around 10 pm and still did the third surgery. He stated he did not want us to wait and worry for another 2 weeks. Extraordinary physician. We feel very fortunate to have him as my husband's surgeon.

Our experience with Dr. Shabahang has been excellent. He is a wonderful combination of compassion and skill. It is clear he really cares about his patients and their families. I feel that his extra effort as a surgeon saved my life. I have never felt like a statistic with him, but as a unique person with my own unique needs and prognosis and my treatment plan was determined and managed accordingly. I found him to be both respectful and honest in his manner. I trust him and would recommend him.
