Dr. Behzad Ahkami, MD

Dr. Ahkami saw me on time, answered all my questions and helped me very much with his knowledge. He gave me all the time I needed, was very attentive and responsive. He was very patient, compassionate and understanding. He worked with me to help solve my problems. and together we have a follow-up plan of action. His staff is wonderful and I finished my appointment very impressed with him.I trust his knowledge, and am thrilled with is compassion and patience. I recommend him very highly. He is a wonderful doctor.

I have been going to Dr Ahkami for years. He is the best. He listens, and lets you voice your feelings and truly understands. He never rushes you thru your appointment. Dr. Ahkami treats all his patients with great care. If a patient has a severe problem, Dr. Ahkami will spend an extra few minutes with the patient, ensuring that the proper treatment is received. He listens (a rarity among doctors) and explains the issues, treatments and alternatives. Sometimes patients may have to wait an extra few minutes in the waiting room (with TV), because Dr. Ahkami will stay with a patient until he is satisfied that the patient if fully taken care of. Dr. Ahkami never looks at his watch (as some do) and says, "OK, times up". He takes the extra time if the patient needs it, showing true compassion, understanding and does everything in his power to help each and every patient. He treats you with respect, and kindness. To him, you are a person, and not just a "number", as is often the case with other doctors. By far, Dr. Ahkami has spent more time with me, and provided more treatment and options than any other doctor I have ever had- and as a senior… citizen, I have seen quite a few doctors in my time. He is simply the best.

The review you read about the "nurse" seeing Dr. Ahkami abusing patients, is an outright lie. First, if this person were a nurse, state law requires that a report be made to the authorities. No such report was made, as no such incident occurred. Second. this "nurse" would be in jail for failing to report the "crime". Third, if this happened, Dr. Ahkami would no longer have his license. None of this is true. This "nurse" is only a disgruntled patient who filed this phony review from a public wi-fi spot to avoid detection, arrest and a lawsuit for defamaition and libel.

Have been going to Dr. Akahmi for a few years now. I have been treated with nothing but respect. The receptionist, Christine, is extremely close to Dr. Akahmi's patients. When calling she recognizes me by voice which is extremely helpful and pleasant to not have to repeat myself. Dr. Akahmi shows he truly cares and knows exactly what he is talking about. Even with my copay I have yet to find another dr because I do not want to separate with the office. If I am ever in need of treatment or care they always manage to fit me in the day of. Most importantly, everytime I leave an appointment I fee better than I did going in.

As a newer patient I was surprised by the way the office is kept clean and tidy, the secretary is always very pleasant and helpful. Dr Ahkami is always listening and caring, while making you feel at ease. Always will fit you in if there is an emergency. Which is extremely helpful. I recommend him to everyone. I know, he deals with drug addiction and have seen some of his negative reviews and can only assume that maybe they were not given certain drugs because and were upset, because Dr Ahkami is nothing but professional.
