Dr. Bela Shestopalova, MD

Literally the worst Dr office I've ever visited. Front desk staff is HORRIBLE. I've had trouble refilling my prescriptions 3 times in the last 6 months. They refuse to cooperate and wait days before responding to multiple calls and pharmacy faxes. Literally cannot stand them.

I had an appointment that I made via ZocDoc.com. Dr. Bela's staff never confirmed it but I still came because the appointment was made. After putting two hours in the meter and parking I was greeted by a disgruntled patient asking me if I was waiting for Dr. Bela. I told him yes and he responded by saying that he's been waiting outside for about an hour and the door to the office is locked. I asked him if he called and he said no because he didn't have the number so I took the liberty to call myself. Before I called, I walked up to the door and attempted to open it and it was indeed locked. I called and got an icy response from a receptionist stating that they were closed for the day because the doctor had an "emergency." I told her that I was not contacted about their office closing and that it was highly unprofessional for them to wait until I arribe (15 minutes prior to my appointment) to tell me this. She then asked me how did I book my appointment and I told her ZocDoc. She then… told me that they alerted ZocDoc of this and if I wasn't notified to take it up with them. Needless to say, I hung up and called ZocDoc to complain because I came 13 miles out of my way and put money in the meter for a doctor who ultimately cannot see me. ZocDoc responded by saying that they were not notified at all by Dr. Bela's office staff and upon checking the records on my account they just confirmed and then cancelled my appointment at 3:51 pm (9 minutes prior to my appointment). They forgot to cancel my appointment and then when I called them on the phone they cancelled it and made it seem like ZocDoc was at fault. I will not book an appointment again with this office unless I receive a formal apology from Dr. Bela along with her incompetent office staff. I will stick to my family primary care doctor. If you choose to have her service you or your family, CALL AHEAD. Who wants to waste gas and money in the meter to only find out that their appointment has been cancelled WITHOUT NOTICE. This office embodies UBER UNPROFESSIONALISM and I would not ever return. ZocDoc is now investigating this as they strive to give accurate appointments along with courteous customer service. I received neither from this staff. I hope ZocDoc removes them from their website!

I work in a cancer research institute and my experience with this physician is a nightmare. I can't describe in words how unprofessional hes office staffs are as well as how much inexperienced she is as a doctor. So, if you want to spend lot of money and get very poor treatment then you should try her.

You need to know that you will wait in that crumpy area for more than an hour! I saw her once and will Never go back. The thing is, it is a walk in clinic so go figure!She is busy making money for people who pay upfront - not waiting for insurance claims. Good luck.
