I was ultimately disappointed with my experience. Throughout treatment, I often felt that my concerns were not being fully heard or taken seriously. Appointments felt rushed, and I frequently left with the impression that decisions had already been made before I had the opportunity to fully explain what I was experiencing. One of my biggest concerns was the pace of medication changes. It often felt like medications were being adjusted or changed without enough discussion about the overall treatment plan or enough time to evaluate whether a particular approach was working. When I raised concerns about side effects or how I was feeling, I did not feel listened to in the way I had hoped. I understand that psychiatric treatment can involve trial and error, and I am not expecting perfect results. What I was looking for was a more collaborative relationship where my input and experiences were given greater consideration. Instead, I often felt dismissed and left appointments feeling… frustrated rather than supported. Others may have had a different experience, but I would not return based on my own.
