Dr. Ben Terrany, MD

Both my husband and my experience of Dr. Ben Terrany were AWFUL, WORST, and MORTIFYING! One star is too high. He deserves a -5. He and his mgr. Julie should be in the Hall of Fame for the WORLDS MOST PATHETIC, UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL DR. And MGR. To save time FIND BOTH OUR REVIEWS ON GOOGLE.. and RATE MDS. Soon. Dr. Terrany basically saved my 20 yr, old son from a future of gloom and doom. After the hospital staff had given him a terrible prognosis of a life-long autoimmune disease, whereby he would have to take harmful drugs for the rest of his life, we went to Dr. Terrany. He immediately questioned the diagnosis, and over the period of a year, gave my son several tests and watched him closely and did not let him take these awful drugs that would suppress his immune system. Sure enough, Dr. Terrany was right. The hospital misdiagnosed him, and Dr. Terrany’s hunch that it was a very bad, unusual infection, was correct. Against all odds, my son regained his normal life, and we owe it 100% to Dr, Terrany. His knowledge, experience and care are unmatched, and we literally trust him with our lives.

Dr. Terrany has been my gastroenterologist for over twenty years. Over that span, he has performed two endoscopies and four colonoscopies for me. The combination of his knowledge and approach provide both informative answers to your questions and a level of comfort. The staff at the Ocean Surgical Pavilion has always been exceptional. From the moment you enter the facility until you leave your are treated by friendly and professional staff. Your are quickly made to feel comfortable and treated like you're the only patient there. Kudos to this outstanding organization.

Efficient office doctor is always on time friendly professional and explains everything in detail then gives you a written explanation of visit Dr Terrany is awesome in office and in the hospital I have been a patient for over 15 years and highly recommended this practice and have in the past

Bad experience 1 Star. - Was told Dr. will work with my insurance. After everything was done and paid for and a few months went by a delinquent letter was sent to me after no initial request of payment! In laments terms I'm pretty sure the Dr. Tried to scam me and the insurance company for a double payout!! Money spent and time wasted, I never received the test results. Go elsewhere!

Drs. Schwartz and Terrany are both terrific!!

I arrived early for my appointment at the Rte. 35 location and the front doors were not yet open. My husband and I sat in the car until the appointment time and the doors were still not open. My husband knocked on the doors and someone inside finally called to him to go around to the side of the building. Perhaps we missed the sign because of the early hour and concentrating on making sure that we entered the correct driveway off of Rte. 35 but I suggest that a sign be placed near the driveway entrance and/or on the front office door indicating that the entrance for procedures is on the side of the building. Other than that, everyone and everything was great, especially Dr. Terrany and Dr. Stabile who were very sensitive to some personal concerns I expressed to them. I would recommend this practice highly to anyone who is looking for a gastroenterologist.

Everything was fine in terms of the care from the Doctor himself. I wouldn't go anywhere else for these types of procedures. The anesthesiologist was wonderful as well. The only problem that I had was the wait time once I was in the hospital gown and ready to go. I have high blood pressure, and the wait time caused anxiety.

Dr. Terrany is kind and he listens! He is totally professional and I have complete confidence in his ability to accurately diagnose my problem and determine the appropriate treatment. The office staff is very nice and worked with me to schedule convenient appointments.

I had a first time appointment with Dr Terrany, his last appointment of the day (4 PM), for abdominal pain. Went to the Oakhurst office by mistake, literally 5-10 minutes away. Staff informed me the doctor would not wait, and was literally "walking out the door". They wanted me to reschedule next month. Can't say anything for his expertise but I won't expect much from a physician more eager to punch out than a McDonalds cook working the graveyard shift. Ben Terrany sets a low standard if he's willing to postpone a look at a patient's abdominal pain for a month.
