Dr. Benedict C. Woo, MD, MD

My husband went to Dr Woo for leg pain. Dr Woo did an emg for which he had thought my husband had sciatica pain. The emg came back normal. He put my husband on a strong dose of steroids, which didn't give him much relief. My husband asked for pain medicine, which Dr Woo gave him a huge lecture about addiction. Meanwhile my husband can barely walk. He had also tried physical therapy which wasn't working. I finally told my husband to call Dr Woo and ask for an MRI. Finally found out that he has a herniated disc; DR Woo's nurse called with the results and told my husband Dr Woo wanted him to come in for an emg, my husband told her he just had one performed in the office by Dr woo a few weeks ago. She then called back and said Dr Woo apologized for the mix up but still wanted him to see if the herniated disc was causing the pain. REALLY?? Dr Woo doesn't treat herniated disc, I would have thought he would have referred my husband to see another doctor in this huge practice who does treat… disc injuries. I would not go to DR Woo if my life depended on it, nor would I tell my worst enemy to see him, Absolutely a waste of precious time!!!!!!!

Had back surgery and was referred to Dr. Woo. It took 4 months to get in to see him. His office kept requesting various medical records for Dr. Woo to review before he would see me. He agreed to see me but only for a second opinion. After waiting for over an hour (sitting hurts), he saw me and asked basic questions then asked why I was there? Supposedly, he read all those medical records, had MRI's and back surgery reports....I only gave one star for follow up after visit because I will NOT be going back to this quack!
