Dr. Ben Aanderud, DMD, FAAID, DABOI/ID, a native of the Portland Metro area, has been practicing general dentistry since 1999. After earning his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, he spent two years in Argentina on a mission, where he became fluent in Spanish. He then returned to pursue his dental education at Oregon Health Sciences University Dental School, graduating with honors and setting the foundation for a career focused on excellence in patient care.Following dental school, Dr. Aanderud completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program with the U.S. Army and served as a general dentist and Captain while stationed in Kuwait. In June 2001, he transitioned from active duty to civilian practice by joining New Smiles Dental.
