Dr. Benjamin Finkelhor Asher, MD

I consulted with Dr. Asher on two different occasions regarding potential biofilm/infection issues in my left sinus which has caused neurological issues for years. I made a big mistake in even consulting the second time because rather than talk about medical issues, he turned the conversation into one about spiritual/trauma, etc. While I certainly don't discount the connection with emotional/physical issues, that was NOT the reason I called. He also told me he would give me a break on the price which he did not. It was $280 for 25 minutes and he had not even pulled up my scan that I had sent to him from Envision Imaging which wasted at least 5 minutes of our consult. He was not even prepared. What a TOTAL fraud and WASTE of time... I couldn't even talk because he kept talking over me.... SO disappointed with this man....

I originally came to Dr. Asher for voice problems / acid reflux. He has helped me with a wide range of problems. He looks for a psychological cause for the ailment along with a medical treatment. His advice in this area can be invaluable, even if it has only a little to do with the symptoms you are complaining about. His strategy of avoiding useless, dangerous drugs and surgeries and his focus on understanding your problem and symptoms in detail is great. He's a great doctor.

Dr. Benjamin Asher is one of the few, brilliant, kind doctors who honestly cares about healing his patients. He could have easily charged me all kinds of extra fees but only charged me the lowest possible rate. Dr. Asher completely healed my hearing in both ears in one visit. Dr. Asher goes out of his way to continue to educate himself and his patients about the safest, most natural remedies that are known and thoroughly researched. He is a very rare, good hearted doctor.

I saw Dr. Asher for my very severe and very painful muscle tension dysphonia. He practically bullied me, telling me my condition was a "spiritual" problem. Give me a break! He acted like the whole thing was my fault, charged $250 for half hour myofascial release massage. He's an egomaniac, HATES to be told he could be wrong (I told him what a highly respected voice therapist said caused my condition, and he wasn't even open to the possibility that she could be right). "99% of Muscle Tension Dysphonia is psychologically rooted," he insisted. I found somebody else who charges $185 for NINETY MINUTES of myofascial release, doesn't tell me my pain is "in my head" and does MUCH more for me than this quack ever did. I read somewhere that his glutathione infusions are a miracle for polyps. That's great, but don't bother with this snotty, condescending doctor if you have muscle tension dysphonia. He came very highly recommended - BIG disappointment!
