Dr. Benjamin July Bittner, OD

Dr. Bittner is one of the best optometrist ever. He is very knowledgeable and has a calm nature that is fitting for a medical professional. I’ve been multiple times now for both corrective lenses And for a chemical burn. He diagnosed my vision correction perfectly and helped me through an accident. Thank you Dr Bittner!

Dr. Bittner is an amazing optometrist. I had tried progressive lenses several times with other companies and never could make them work. He gave me a perfect prescription strength, progressive lense glasses and now I can see clearly for the first time in a long time!! He always been incredibly courteous, kind, and willing to work with everyone. I have sent my entire family to see him and everyone has had an amazing experience. I cannot highly recommend the dr. Bittner and staff More! Anyone in the south Strand to grand Strand area… Dr. Bittner is worth the visit!

Not one to write reviews or complain but this needs to be out there to warn people. I worked for this office for a week and a half. I decided to leave because of some of the crazy things I saw. Dr. Bittner owes me a paycheck from the week of Nov 7th, 2022 and has yet to pay me. I contacted him and his wife Sonia numerous times asking him to mail my paycheck and he continues to ignore me. A complaint is filed with the labor board.

Love Dr. Bittner and his staff. They are very kind, professional, and confidence inspiring. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bittner to anyone requiring the services of an optometrist. Mary Watson. 5 stars.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bittners for the last 7 years, after relocating to the area. He is an outstanding diagnostic doctor and a wonderful human being. He is compassionate and caring and has diagnosed a problem that all my previous doctors missed. I can't believe the reviews I read. Do these people go to the barber or to their physician and not expect to pay for services. Talk about being petty. I can't say enough about this doctor. I guess the above reviewers were all having a bad day.

He is so thorough and followed up immediately with me. I have sent numerous friends there, and he has been an eye saver. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I got his name from my insurance company as being in network. After my husband received his exam we were told that the insurance company denied payment. I knew this was false. However my husband's vision was bad and he needed glasses immediately. We had to pay $100.00 out of pocket to get his prescription. I figured I would straiten out with the insurance company when we got home. When I called them I was told that the office never called. However, Dr Bittner was contracted with them. We only had to pay the 15.00 copay. Long story short=That was in the summer of last year. I have spent countless hours on the phone with their office. Their billing and the insurance company. Finally I went there and was told to wait. So I waited and waited in an excuse for a waiting room, packed with many elderly and ethnic people. Finally I just went in. Dr. Bittner was alone in his office. When I voiced my complaint. I was told the insurance company was lying. They don't pay him enough any way.s I was… wasting his time.He was going to see to it that I could not enter Sam's club again etc. etc. I have still not received all of my money back. The insurance company has told me that he has been paid by them as well. I would normally let the money go. But I can't help but feel that I am not alone in being taken. I have done all I can do. So be aware.
