Dr. Benjamin Steven Chack, DO

He is brilliant and worth the wait. All doctors are slammed with govt requirements and to many patients who need them now. And they are human just like all of us. But he is THE BEST. I am lucky to have him still there after many , many health issues and 25+ years. He still listens to my complaints and has never given up on me. I am grateful for him!

Other doctors kept treating my middle ear problems with antibiotics. Tubes didn't work. Dr. Chack was the first one to diagnose my problem as eczema in my ear canal.

I am a man in his late fifties. I've seen my share of Drs. over the years, but this guy is by far, THE WORST I've EVER experienced!! Rude, Ignorant, Arrogant, Unfriendly, and Unprofessional. A real TOAD! With the bedside manner of a CROCODILE!! After keeping me waiting for over a half hr. in the office, he walked in, gave me a dirty look, like he was annoyed from the start. That was the last time that he looked at me during the course of the visit. He didn't introduce himself. Didn't greet me, shake my hand, or ask my name. Then, he proceeds to talk AT ME, with his face buried in his laptop, asking me questions and never listening to my responses. Hence the need to ask me the same questions over and over. He talked over me and acted ANNOYED that i dared ask a question or two!! Then, he walked out without a goodbye, good luck, get better, NOTHING!! AVOID this guy like the plague!! He is a disgrace to the medical profession!! If there are any good reviews for him, i guarantee they are… from family members, or he wrote them himself.

I went to see Dr. Chack in 2008 because my primary care sent me to him due to having a nodule on my thyroid. At the time I didn't, nor did my PCP, obviously, that I should have seen an endocrinologist for this condition. Anyway, I went to see Dr. Chack and he did a biopsy (if you call it that) right in his office, basically stuck a needle in my throat guessing where the nodule was. He then ordered blood work for my TSH level and had me get an ultrasound which both came back normal and also the biopsy. He had me get an ultrasound and blood work every year. In 2010 he put me on Synthroid due to hypothyroidism. Fast forward to 2013, I was having strange symptoms and figured it was my thyroid meds. When I called his office he said I can't be having these side effects from Synthroid so after going to many doctor's which none of them could figure out what was wrong, I ended up in Philly, long story short I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which the surgeon stated I had had for a long… time!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was SO VERY lucky it hadn't spread, all contained to the thyroid gland. I just want people to be aware that this doctor is a quack and should NOT be treating someone with thyroid issues. Oh and there is NO comparison to the biopsy performed at his office and the biopsy in Philly!! The doctor had three assistants in the room and had an ultrasound machine to make sure he got to the nodule. You really have to listen to the symptoms of your body and not just take a doctor's word, just because they're a doctor.....they obviously make mistakes too!!

Dr Chack has helped me through some real difficult times. While treating my ear problems, I was seeing another allergist, who just kept adding medications on top of medications. When I showed Dr Chack the ziplock bag of meds, he was amazed. It was about this time that he started treating allergy patients. He got rid of 90% of the medications and treated my allergies aggressively. It has taken time, but he has made a big difference in my life. He has always come up with a diagnosis an won't quit until he does. I know that if I need to ask him a question, his staff will speak to me and then get back to me with his response I do not mind this because I know I can get in contact with him whether he is very busy with patients or in a hospital doing surgery.
