Dr. Benjamin J Cohen, MD

I'm not a big social media person and rarely ever write a review, but as a public service, I felt compelled to tell others of my experience in trying to make an appointment with Dr. Cohen. The warning signs were there when it took me three phone calls before connecting with Sandi, the office appointment scheduler. She profusely apologized for not returning my two previous calls, using the excuse that the office was extremely busy (uh, oh). I was instructed to scan my referral and insurance information and email it to her, which I did immediately. I was told I would receive, by return email, the new patient questionnaire forms to complete. They were never received. I also wanted to re-confirm the appointment date/time. Three emails were never answered and a request to either email or phone me was ignored. If the way they run their administrative duties is any indication, I would recommend a different cardiologist. That's what I'm doing!

I called his office to make an initial appointment. However, only his office assistant, Sandy, could arrange the date. She was never available by phone, so it was necessary to leave a message. After playing phone tag a number of times. I decided to see another doctor in Encino who was highly recommended to me. I was able to speak to a staff member immediately and schedule a date the following week.

KNOWLEDGABLE, WELL TRAINED, COMPASSIONATE. ALWAYS RESPONDS TO QUERIES RAPIDLY

Too many unanswered communications. Frustrating voice mail only systems.
