I went to Dr Gilbert with a recommendation from a family member. I was told that he was very good. Prior to going to Dr. Gilbert, I had been seeing a periodontics because of severe periodontal problems. He told me that I was not a good candidate for implants. When I started seeing Dr. Gilbert I told him this and his response was; why would he say something like that and proceeded to tell me about implants; I always wanted a nice smile so I listened and was impressed that he could do the implants despite what the periodontics has told me, after all he was a dentist. We talked about the cost of the implants and he quoted me a price of $21,000.00, and I thought that was a fair price so I went out of my way to get the money; it took a while for him to get the implants in the bottom of my mouth, at least 18 months and before he could start the top, he had his office assistant tell me that I would need an additional $12,000.00, at first I was resistant because I had believed that the… $21,000.00 was for my whole mouth, but I knew that he was not going to go any further unless I gave him the additional $12,000.00. I wanted the job complete so I took out a loan to pay the additional $12,000.00, I should have kept the money because it was for the top front which turned out to be a big mess; first they protruded, then the left side of the implants just dropped out of my mouth after being in there for about 3 months; I went back to him for him to repair them and wanted to know why they had fell out; he was back on his get some money deal because he told me that they didn't have anything to support them since I don't have teeth on the top in the back; I didn't understand because the top right has been in longer and have not fallen out, but I didn't have any more money to give to him so I decided that I would have to live without teeth in the back of my mouth on the top. On Monday of this week, the left side fell out again; this was too much for me, I paid a total of $34,000.00 for a nice smile and I still can't smile after over 3 years of Dr. Gilbert working to give me that nice smile. According to him, implants are his passion, but I always believed that you did well if it were your passion. When he was installing the implants on the bottom left side of my mouth, he had his assistant who is not a dentist, nor is she in school to become a dentist, put something in my mouth that was suppose to turn into a temp tooth, but she let it sit too long and it hardened to the point that she could not get it out, Dr. Gilbert had to use some force in order to get it out and the implant that had been put in came out as well. Dr. Gilbert sold me a dream that has turned into a nightmare. I will be retiring in a few weeks and started the process of getting my mouth fixed before I retired so that I could be done with it. Now I have to find a dentist to take the implants out so that I can get a plate for the top of my mouth. I would not recommend Dr. Gilbert to anyone not even my worse enemy. I have an appointment with him on Friday to correct the fallen out teeth at which time I will cut ties with him.

Have been a patient for a while. Recently had a dental implants with no pain!. I was more full of anxiety leading up to the procedure.. I have no pain!!!!
