Dr. Benjamin Graber, MD

My issue is the billing practice of this office. In 2019, I was given an invoice with 3 years worth of service which my insurance company had already paid for but the stellar billing staff never credited my account. To this day I am still fighting to get credit for all paid services. The billing staff and receptionist are extremely rude and unwilling to assist. They keep blaming the doctor. My last outstanding bill from 2016 was paid by the insurance company with the exception of $ 35. I was provided with the invoice for the first time in 2019. I had pay the $ 35 out of pocket since it was too late for the insurance to pay. It been two weeks since I sent the check and they still haven't cashed it. Also the insurance paid the agreed upon $102 but the billing staff are showing $ 250 on the invoice. They can only bill what the insurance agreed upon - which they were paid in 2016. While I did like Dr Graber. He is a good doctor- his office staff is an extension of his practice… which is leaving a black eye on an otherwise good practice. He deserved the 4 stars - his staff not so much

Dr. Graber is a good doctor, very kind person who listens to your concerns. I give 5 stars to the doctor as a doctor, but give 1 star for the negligence and incompetence in handling the medical bills to health insurance. Take the following as a big warning to new patients who want to see Dr. Graber: This office doesn't know how to bill properly health insurance companies, especially Blue Cross/Florida Blue health insurance. If you get any procedure done at his office, be aware that you will end up paying for the procedure from your own pocket, even though it's a procedure covered by your insurance. Why? Because they don't know how to submit the claim with the right procedure codes, so they end up not getting paid by the insurance, and therefore charge the patient for it. Imagine that when I got my procedure, I was asked to pay upfront $250. Their reason: because they always get denied payment for the anesthetic injection and they have decided to charge the patients upfront… for this. I was naive and paid that amount, and later on after talking with my insurance, they explained the reason is because they have submitted the wrong procedure, and they will pay if they submit the claim with the right procedure code. I told this office several times the reason why they don't get paid, and to re-submit the claim with the right code so they can get paid and give me a refund, and their answer is "this is the way we do the medical billing in this office". In other words, they don't care if they are doing the medical billing wrong, they don't want to submit the right claim in order to get paid by the insurance since they have already gotten the money from the patient. And this is not all: they billed my insurance for $200 for what I paid $250. Months later, I received another bill from them stating that I still owe $155 for supposed co-pays I didn't pay (I paid them all). I went to their office and said "oh no, it's actually $41 you owe", what? and they couldn't give a clear answer. I told them that I don't owe anything, and that if I am sent to collection, I will hire a lawyer. What's ironic is that when I arrived to the office, there was a lady arguing with them for an invoice she received owing them money for procedures done 4 YEARS AGO that the insurance supposedly didn't pay. I can't imagine how many more patients have gotten similar invoices showing that they owe money to this office when in fact, it was this office fault for being incompetent and negligent in handling the medical billing. Doctor Graber, it was nice meeting you and I thank you for your kindness and for treating me. I hope you can hire an expert in medical billing to handle your paperwork correctly, so your patients can be happy to continue seeing you. Oh and last thing: the lady handling the medical billing has a terrible attitude and terrible customer service, and I would advice to fire her.

I can't believe some of the reviews I'm reading on this site about dr.graber he is an excellent doctor I have been going to him for years and I highly recommend him!

Professional, caring, non alarmist, experienced. You feel safe and confident in his care.

Dr. Graber performed pelvic reconstructive surgery on me which provided a renewal of my bladder and bowel control as well as improved intercourse. The surgery was without complication and I was well attended through the process. He is a busy and in demand Gyn because of his gentle approach and wonderful skills. I recommend him without reservation.

This man is an old fashion and loyal physician who's patients come first.
