Dr. Kornfeld received his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and his M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where he received the Harrison Award for excellence in Pediatrics. He completed his residency training at Children's Memorial Hospital/Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and was named Resident Teacher of the Year in 2011 and 2012. He served as Chief Resident for an additional year before joining North Suburban Pediatrics. Board certified in Pediatrics, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a Health Systems Clinician at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where he teaches in the Pediatrics clerkship. He is an attending physician at Lurie Children's Hospital, NorthShore University HealthSystem and Northwest Community Hospital.
Dr. Kornfeld grew up in Deerfield, Illinois and now lives with his wife (also a pediatrician) and daughter in Evanston. He enjoys rooting for Chicago sports teams, running and …pretending to know how to cook.
