Dr. Benjamin Alan Lampert, MD

This Dr only has one way to treat pain. A spinal cord stimulator. It is his only suggestion and he won't try anything else. It's like an assembly line going through his place for the scs. The sales rep for the spinal cord stimulator in the lobby showing it to patients(customers). This Dr is ranked the top by his peers and I'm sure he is good for the folks with pain that r ones he can't justify the scs. He seems nice enough. I was sent to him 3 different times trying to see if he would try anything other than that invasive procedure. He would not. There are several other treatments for my condition that other people get in other states. But if you have pain in Springfield Missouri you are doomed to a pain Dr that will not listen or even examine the patient. How does he know the full extent of what a person needs without examination?

He was very nice and seemed to be helpful at my first office visit. I have ddd and nerve damage also a cyst on s1 that needs drained. His original plan was to do an injection and drain the cyst to see if it would take pressure of the nerves and then follow up with the neurosurgeon to have the cyst removed. Now he's refusing to do anything with the cyst and the only reason I can get from the nurse is "for medical reasons" but they still insist I get the injections. I'd like to give him a big "screw you" but I know I'll get marked as non compliant and then no one will want to treat me. I flipping hate doctors so much.

Dr. Benjamin Lampert has been my pain specialist for a long time. I believe he has given me the most pain relief without narcotics I have ever had. He is caring and compassionate and he really gets to know his patients. His procedure give me the best pain relief and they last longer than any other procedures I have ever had. I have arthritis, I have sciatica nerve problems, back issues and have had a cyst in my facet joint. If your insurance company gives you static about your procedures they go to bat to get you the pain relief you need when you need it. I love his staff and his PA's they are excellent. I will be lost when he decides to retire. I give him 5 stars on everything because he is the best!

This is a Terrible doctor he does not care about your pain and does not car about you b in there.this Dr needs his license pulled and those like him which there are way to many of them. Cannot find a real Dr hardly anymore and would not recommend him to anyone
