Dr. McCurdy was born in Macon, Georgia. He graduated summa cum laude with a BS degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia. He also completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Medical College of Georgia and served as Anesthesiology Chief Resident prior to entering the Pain Management Fellowship. His fellowship was completed in June 2008 and he joined Athens Spine Center in August. Dr. McCurdy is Board Certified in Anesthesia by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is Fellowship Trained and Board Certified in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

The entire staff was awesome. I received a Pain shot from Dr. McCurdy and he was very caring and very gentle. Wonderful experience.

Dr. McCurdy and his assistants are very engaging. Dr. McCurdy is an excellent clinician and very personable. Dr. McCurdy includes me in the decision making process and always shares information with me. All the nurses conduct an excellent prep for the visit. They are very knowledgable and proficient. The office is very well organized.

treatment only lasted days. had injections costing over $1400 of what I was quoted. treated me as if I was a hinder to him and his asst. I would never recommend this treatment, wish I would have listened to the others for their advice of the shots not being effective.

I have been seeing Dr mccrudy for about 2 years for facet joint issues and so far so good still in pain but nowhere near what I was.
