Benjamin K Poulose, MD

Dr. Poulose is extremely well thought of and respected by his peers. He is one of the top doctors in his field! Truly a surgeon with great knowledge and superior skills. At my initial appointment he noticed a couple things about me that no other Dr. had noticed (he was the 4th surgeon that I saw). He is very (VERY!) nice and caring as well as being a highly skilled surgeon. I immediately felt comfortable scheduling my surgery with him. He warned me that once he was inside my abdomen he might need to use a different technique for the repair if the imaging was not accurate (I was hoping for a Shouldice - non mesh repair). I had so much confidence in his knowledge and ability that I surprised myself and without hesitation agreed to let him do whatever he thought was best. The surgery could not have gone better, Dr. Poulose was extremely thorough and found a couple other problems - which he was able to take care of in the manner that I had hoped for. The ENTIRE team at OSU was top-notch,… I have zero criticisms. I consider myself fortunate to have been a patient of Dr. Poulose - I had done considerable research and traveled a few hundred miles to see him, and again for the surgery and follow ups. I have no regrets whatsoever, he's as good as it gets and quite a bit better than most!
