Dr. Benjamin Schlechter, MD

I am absolutely thrilled with the results of the procedure done by Dr. Schlechter. He is truly an artist. He transformed my face, making me look ten years younger and giving me confidence again. His staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are comfortable and clean. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!

Recently had a procedure done with Dr.Schlechter and I am extremely happy with how the whole process went from the Pre operative appointment all the way to my follow up appointment. Ivy does a great job explaining the different options I had for my procedure before I even saw the Doctor. When I was able to finally meet with Dr.Schlechter took the time to further explain the surgery, his surgical technique, and what the months following my procedure should look like. This office provides a comfortable environment to ask any questions and they make sure to address the question in its entirety which left me feeling at ease and educated about my procedure. The day of surgery I was taken back right away, and did not wait long to meet the nurse anesthetist (Mike) who took time to explain the medications I was getting during my surgery. The surgical nurse Melissa came in shortly after to do my IV. She was GREAT! After she was done Dr. S came in to take photos and do his surgical markings. He… then escorted me back to the OR suite where I met his tech Charlene who helped me feel comfortable! I can’t speak highly enough about this office, and the surgical staff. I cannot wait to see my results over the next few months after the healing process!

I've had 3 surgeries in the past 2 months; 2 done by Dr. Schlechter. I can't say the Dupuytren's contracture surgery, done by someone else, was meatball surgery, but it was close. A non-malignant growth between my eye and nose was very worrisome, at least before the biopsy was received. Dr. Schlechter got it all, so I asked him to remove a mucous cyst on my right thumb. I showed Dr. Schlechter's work to the hand surgeon's OTRL, who admired it, and my neurological CRNP, who also agreed that it was a work of art. Neither ladies commented on my contracture surgery. In defense of the hand surgeon it required removing 1" of ring finger tissue and 1 1/2" of fibrous tissue in my palm. A 2 1/2" (6 cm) scar is a serious operation. I'll be performing therapy for 6 months until the scar has flattened, then for many years to prevent the return of 'Dupes'. My eye is healed, my thumb has numbness where a flap of skin was turned down to allow Dr. Schlechter to remove the cyst without compromising… the thumb bursa sac. That will resolve normally, as skin removed for hernia surgery did. We have brilliant and kind surgeons in Berks County; millionaire don't travel anywhere but the U.S.A. to receive serious medical attention; God bless America. I am indebted to Dr. Schlechter for his skilled compassionate care of me. A "medium to large cerebellar infarction" stroke survivor, from 3 years ago, I require 100% from doctors and their practices, 100% of the time. Doctor Schlechter, and his practice have delivered that in the many times I visited the office, and surgery center.

A stroke survivor relies heavily on competent health care providers, surgeons in particular. But when you haven’t seen a plastic surgeon for 30 years, where do you go? I began with Proserpi-Schlechter because Dr. Proserpi did a brilliant job removing a non-malignant growth near my eye 30 years ago. I was amazed to discover that Sergio Proserpi mentored Dr. Schlecter even before I met Dr. Proserpi; that was all the recommendation I needed, so I made an appointment. Since my stroke, which destroyed my ‘self’ I have not had general anesthesia; ten days in a coma was enough for a lifetime. At 75 years of age I may never need anasthesia again. You learn a lot, undergoing surgery while awake (my oral surgeon is the best). Doctor Proserpi would be proud of his student. The growth Doctor Schlechter removed from the inside of my eye was gotten in its entirety; lab reports are sent to patients on MyChart. But Dr. Schlector’s demeanor during the 1 ½ hours he spent on his feet painstakingly… working near my eye told me much about the man. Dr. Proserpi would be proud of the partner, in whose capable hands he left the practice he began fifty-five years ago. Rest in peace Doctor Proserpi.

One of the finest Doctors I know. I have been a patient of Dr. Dr Schlechter's for several years now. Very patient and kind. Listens attentively to your concerns and so happy with the results of his work. I must say he has the best caring and professional staff. I had a fantastic experience with Dr Schlechter and his team. Dr Schlechter is such a nice guy and very soothing. When you are under the care of him he lets you know what to expect and also lets you ask many questions too. He does not get irritated and will sit and listen to you . His surgical team was great and the prep information was so organized and easy to read it was easy to understand what your responsibility is before you go in for your procedure. They did call me a few times to see how I was feeling and you know they care by the way they treat their patients. I feel he is the best around and would not go to anyone else for even a second opinion. Their office is very clean and you cannot tell you are at a doctors office it is very elegant inside.

I had a fat transfer to my butt by Dr. Schlechter. I had a, for lack of a better word, dent in my right butt cheek from a fall. I developed internal scar tissue from the impact. Dr. Schlechter released that scar and transferred fat from my stomach. I am thrilled with the outcome. Don fron anesthesia was the most competent anesthetist I have evert encountered. He was unbelievable, thourough with his part in the procedure and even went as far as to suggest aftercare to help healing. The OR staff was very professional, pleasant, and did their job well. Dr. Schlechter is FANTASTIC!

I had liposuction then two weeks later had a breast augmentation and lift with Dr. Schlechter. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Don from anestheasia made me feel very at ease and he makes you feel like he is there to take care of you. Lynne is the greatest person ever. She really helped with preparing me for what to expect with the surgeries. I had to bring my 10 month old and three year old to my appointments and she made sure that my three year old was entertained while she went over everything with me. Last but not least, Dr. Schlechter is AMAZING! He is so caring and he just has taken the best care of me.

I would never let anyone other than Ben Schlechter inject my Botox and Juvederm. Now that he is doing the PRP injections, I am excited about trying that instead of the Juvederm.

Dr Schlechter has been doing my Botox for years and I am so pleased with my results! I highly recommend him!
