Dr. Benjamin Fracp Tharian, MD

I traveled 160 miles to UAMS so that Dr. Tharian could do an endoscopic biopsy of a pancreatic lesion. I've been through plenty of procedures and each time the surgeon talked to me before and after the surgery. Not with Dr. Tharian. To explain the procedure and the results, he sent an assistant to speak to me. After the surgery, I traveled back home where I started experiencing intense pain. I called Dr. Tharian's office (he wasn't available) and another doctor told me that pain was common and to drink plenty of water. The next day the pain grew even more intense. I called again. His nurse insisted that I drive 160 miles back to Little Rock and check into the UAMS emergency room. I told her it was not possible. I went to a local ER, was admitted to the hospital, and spent the next four days recuperating from the pain and the procedure. I never heard back from Dr. Tharian. I was told by another doctor who reviewed my charts that the procedure blistered my pancreas.

I was having a poorly placed stint that was in my neck for to long with high risk for damage removed by Dr tharian. I was terrified, Dr tharian was professional and gave me all the facts and risks, up front. he was able to remove the hardware from my neck thank god. the man knows what he is doing
