Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Very early on in life, I was very inquisitive and passionate about human life, bodily function and well-being; how unique we are individually and the whys and hows of the things that make us sick and unhealthy. I am blessed to be part of the team that is able to help others restore excellent health and well-being and improve their quality of life.What I want my patients to know about me:I am committed to providing the highest level of compassion while using the best evidence-based medical and surgical approaches and the most minimally invasive surgical approach to improving quality of life. As a board-trained colorectal and general surgeon who specializes in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, I work with each and every patient in developing a strategic plan of care in meeting their individual health goals. These are the same expectations and quality of care I would want for myself or my loved ones.What I do when I'm not seeing …patients:I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and 3 amazing kids. We have a very large and diverse extended family and delicious food, fine wine, and music always bring us together. Personally, I enjoy sports, photography, cooking and gardening.

If I could give 1000 stars I would!!!!! My experience with Dr. Vabi was nothing short of excellent in all aspects from my initial consultation to my many post-op visits & phone calls. Dr. Vabi explained in great detail my condition, his recommended surgical procedure, & what my expectations should be for post-op recovery. I experienced some post-op complications - he warned me about all of them prior to agreeing to this procedure, & his dedication to making sure I was taken care of and well informed amazed me. He told me prior to this surgery, “I am always available for my patients” & believe him when he says that. After being hospitalized for my post-op complication, Dr. Vabi was sure to come check in on me multiple times a day (when he wasn’t performing surgeries of course) & ALWAYS answered any questions I had. If I was confused or unsure about something, Dr. Vabi would not leave my room until I had a full understanding of his recommendations/what was going on. Without his guidance… & reassurance I’m not sure that I would have mentally or physically made it through this surgery. I have never meant a doctor that genuinely cares about their patients the way Dr. Vabi does. I’m so glad I went with him for this procedure & would recommend to him anyone looking for a CRS!
