Dr. Benjamin James Westbrook, MD

I had been dealing with breathing issues for over 18 months where my quality of life had deteriorated one day at a time. After going to many different doctors with no solution, I ended up in the ER and was given only one option that would have resulted in needing assisted help for the rest of my life. Luckly, I was referred to Dr. Westbrook and from the get-go, he properly diagnosed me and preformed a surgery that saved me, and my quality of life has never been better. Dr Westbrook, Jennifer who is part of his team, and everyone in his staff is friendly, helpful and truly care about their patients. I now have a second chance at a normal life Thanks to Dr. Westbrook, he is truly Godsend. I had an in-person appointment with the doctor on October 13, 2023. I was scheduled for a follow up a week later by phone on October 20, 2023. Two and a half hours past the scheduled call and nobody called, I had to call the office. The doctor did not know about what I was there about. His dates were off, he did know what he prescribed or what course of action he had asked to do. That's why it is called a medical chart, review it. My work paperwork was still not filled out after a week and was asked to give more time. I asked for a work note, doctor said he would email it. He never emailed it after I provided my email address. I called the office and they said they didn't have an email for me on file. Eventually, a note was emailed to me but with the wrong dates to return to work. I had to call numerous times to try to get the issue corrected. Keep in mind this is all on a Friday and I was going to be left in limbo the whole weekend and scheduled to go back to work the following day. I… see that irresponsibility runs from the staff all the way up to the physician. About an hour from posting my review Dr. Westbrook calls me upset asking me to look for care elsewhere. He couldn't call me for our scheduled appointment, yet he does take the time to call and complaint about my post. Don't they have more important things to do in terms of providing care to their patients than to be monitoring reviews in real time? Dr. Westbrook told me that our "expectations don't match in regard to care." I totally agree, I need someone who is an actual professional and doesn't leave his patients out on a limb and he has no idea what is going on during follow -ups because he can't take the time to go over my chart. I would expect this kind of service if I was indigent and was getting services from UMC or Texas Tech, yet I have private insurance and I am paying for a service from a private physician or what they call in the medical world a "specialist." Attached are screenshots of my scheduled over the phone appointment confirmation, call log where I didn't get a call (I had to call them), discrepancies on the work notes. Let's see what the Texas Medical Board has to say at the end.

Excellent Doctor and very professional. His staff is the best.

My sinus condition is not very interesting but has been bothering me for a long time. The doctor is personable and although he probably has more important patients to see I felt like he gave me good attention.
