My concern around the diagnosis is that it was done based on one input for our child. No baseline was established. It conflicts with 3 gold standard diagnosis performed by UC Davis Mind Center. Medication was prescribed at the first visit instead of allowing for some reasonable observation time, despite the presence of external, temporary stressors. Charting has not been electronic, which has led to inaccurate information conveyed.

Poor record keeping, diagnosis based on limited input and total lack of establishment of baseline are cause for serious concern.

It has been a while since my daughter has seen Dr.Yu. But he was a very caring doctor and a good communicator. He took the time to talk with her about her life and all that was going on with it---actually having conversations with her and explaining things. We've never had a psychiatrist that has done that. He is a soft spoken man, that really did seem to care.
