Dr. Bennett Stuart Burns, MD

Doctor Burns is a phenomenal surgeon , he made sure to explain everything to me in depth as this is the first accident/break i’ve experienced . He was easy to talk to and understand . I got a cool scar !!!

Dr. Burns is easy to understand as well as thorough. He encourages questions and gives alternatives if I am unable to comply with original idea. I got very lucky that he was on call when I had my surgery. Also, he's handsome!!

The staff was outstanding, caring, pleasant and professional. Dr. Burns was informative, easy to talk to and he has a gift of explaining one’s condition in a manner that one can understand and feel extremely confident under his care.

We were pleasantly surprised with Dr. Burns kindness, intelligence and compassion. He gave us enough time to ask questions and provide instructions for further PT treatment. His staff beyond the lobby were great n kind. The lobby staff was not as friendly as we had hoped. A bit better management is needed. Some of the receptionists appeared very friendly. Ours was not. We got drowned in unnecessary paperwork and when I asked if I and the patient could share reports, we got a definite “No”. The Doctor cleared this up for us so that we can share info. When we first arrived we were asked for the packet of paperwork. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY PAPERWORK IN ADVANCE. A BIT OF AN OFGICE MANAGEMENT ISSUE. BMRODGERS

Dr Burns is an excellent doctor. He explained my injury and recovery process clearly and put me at ease.He has a great bedside manner and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Burns was honest and straight forward with me. I want a dr. that tells me the truth. He is directing me in the right direction.

Dr Burns was very helpful and friendly. Explained things very clearly and was a pleasure to meet and I would highly recommend him to others!

Even though Dr. Burns had a very busy day, he still took time to explain exactly to me what the surgery process would be like and what the expectations were. He was extremely friendly, very thoughtful and did a fantastic job. Seems like he is genuinely passionate about his work.

I have to say that Dr Burns spent a very lengthy amount of time with me which was scheduled as a 15 minute check up and also missing several scheduled appointments due to unforeseen circumstances requiring to cervical interventions in the midst of my recovery from the surgery that Dr Burns performed I believe I cringed as he opened the door expecting somewhat of a lecture on the missed appointments however he observed another part of my anatomy in a cast and seem to understand I had had a few mishaps, no lectures. I explained the huge frustration I was experiencing with what must be three times what is typically prescribed for someone with my type of repair and the success was not anywhere near meeting the goals I had set for myself. You see exactly almost one year to the day I had had the same injury in my other hip leg area so I was an Old pro at the exercises they laid out I had been a wonderful student doing three times the amount of homework they assigned and I also had practice… the beginning stretches a week before starting therapy so I was off to a roaring start this was going to be a breeze. I had a wonderful clinician well-trained and extremely patient I had mentioned a spinal issue that I had had since childhood could that possibly be affecting this and wouldn't have affected the other side, my brain knew what I wanted to do but it was a disconnect between that and telling my body what to do I just didn't understand it. Dr Burns was on to what the problem was immediately as I described it he explained what he thought was going on even designed a diagram on the bench rolling paper mind you with more artistic talent than he realizes that simplified what was happening he also had the additional x-rays that demonstrated what he meant he offered several alternatives to a surgical fix that he thought I might appreciate and we were able to come up with one that sounds like with a simple prosthetic device that wouldn't even be in sight under clothing that may very well alleviate the problem. I could for this right in the lab of their building such a convenience. You know I can't begin to explain how I was relieved that somebody finally understood what was going on and able to present it in a way I understood and was shaking my head up and down to yes yes he got it he understands and he's going to do something about it he may actually fix it and not with a surgical intervention mind you. I tell you I did not bother taking the numerical scores because I would have gave him one higher than they go to the doctor used more of his time I'm sure the next patient didn't appreciate that but I'll be more understanding when a doctor's late next time. I simply could not be happier with the doctor I mean somebody got my problem listen to me thoroughly did not cut me off that they knew better and I was wrong I mean the experience that visit I wish I didn't have to cancel prior I would have maybe had my answer earlier but life in limbs got in the way it was a most important and productive visit I have had with a physician in a long long time I left extremely happy and grateful.
