Dr. Bennett Norman Gaev, MD

Dr. Gaev is a great Doctor. He actually listens to you and lets you talk. He will always call you back and his secretary, Marianne is so kind.

Dr. Gaev helped me during some tough years. I am a psychiatrist myself, and I found him always to be professional, empathic and helpful. Outstanding physician, pharmacologist and therapist.

You should check ahead of time with any doctor's office, in regard to medical insurance. Don't you get an estimate for your car before you have work done? He should not get 1 star because you didn't check that out. This is about "what he does for you". I have seen him on and off for 20 years. I no longer have panic attacks, I made it through abuse, divorce, deaths, I no longer have aura migraines... I will see him with any future issues. He is rather dry, no sense of humor, etc. What do you want, a friend?... or do you want a doctor that hears you and can help you put your life back together? He's the best in my book.

Hasn't given up on me in spite of multiple relapses. (Suboxone program) Very knowlegable in pharmacology. Encyclopedic knowlege of esoteric medication. Helpful for someone resistent to traditional meds. Often comes of as cold or detached at first and doesn't sugar coat the truth. Tells it like it is. So not good if you like "touchy feely" type psychiatrists. People who say he's greedy, should understand he isn't running the red cross. He provides a service for a fee. That simple. He has berated me before for being behind on payments, but he's running a business not a charity.That said, I wish he took my insurance. P.S All this about him flirting with females? Well I'm a guy so I can't really speak to this, but anyone who has met the man would understand that that behavior seems highly out of character and very difficult to believe.

I actually read some of the other reviews and don't think he's creepy at all. I've gone to Dr. Gaev on and off for over 10 years. You need to get to know him before you really judge him. He's a sweet guy and very helpful!

So, I'm a 33 year old woman and finally got the courage to ask for help. My friends and family were begging me to do so. I finally got up the nerve to be seen.Dr. Gaev only cares about your money. Expect to wait a while. He wasn't honest about insurance so I got hit with a 300 dollar bill. He also was flirty and spent most of the time looking at my chest. Don't see this guy. He probably shouldn't be allowed to treat people.

Overall he is very good. His diagnosis was right on and he is very good at making sure my treatment is always on the right track. The only knock on him is that he makes you wait. On average you will wait 30 minutes past your appointment time. I've waited over an hour and had to leave and reschedule.

Knows what he's doing, its really on the consumer to know what their insurance covers

make sure your health insurance covers your visit. he doesn't like to tell you until after the visit and hit you with a $300 bill. if i had known my insurance wasn't covered i never would have went

this guy was flirtatious with me. gave me some medication which made me sick as a dog but told me wouldnt get side effects.
