Dr. Bennett Pate Hogan, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hogan for about a year. He’s helped improve my health a lot, and always has easy answers to my questions. His office is very busy, so don’t expect to get in and out quick, but the staff is super nice and always wants to make your visits pleasant.

So not worth it. The office is disorganized, and the people here do not have a clue. Everyone walks around gossiping about their patients and don't even get me started on the wait time. An hour and half to see the doctor for 15 mins and then another hour to get blood drawn. Outrageous! Get more than one person to draw labs for three different doctors.

Dr. Hogan is one of the best doctors I know. You may have to wait a while to see him but it is totally worth the wait when he comes in to see you. He takes time with you and does not rush you and he listens to every concern you have. He is not one of those doctors who just passes out antibiotics for any little thing...he will give them to you only if you need them...He also gets to know you as a person and remembers you...I trust him and would recommend him to anyone. His staff is also very sweet and prompt with any directions that he give. Also he is the only doctor that I know that when you are in the hospital for anything even having a baby that he will take time to come in a visit you since you are one of his patients even if he did not send you to the hospital. When I had my baby girl he dropped by to see me and I thought that was so great of him...not all family practioners do that or care enough to drop by and visit you. Even when my mom had a hysterectomy he came to see… her...we think he is just one of the best Doctors in Valdosta!

It is true that the waiting time is long, but Dr. Hogan spends a lot of time with each person. He is a great doctor and worth the wait. If you have an urgent problem you always have the option of coming in as a walk-in, no one is ever turned away. We used to see a doctor who only saw patients with a scheduled appointment, so we are glad to have this option. Bring a book or your Kindle when you come, and make the time productive. The staff is friendly and competent. We've never had a problem with billing. As far as the drug reps, he has to lend them his ear in order to receive their samples....which he gives out to his patients in order to help them afford their prescriptions!

For myself and even my co-worker, Dr. Hogan is a great doctor! He is caring, and you have to ask questions or talk to him if you want him to talk back, other than that he probably think that you want for him to just do his diagnosis and let you go! It takes him longer because he is thorough, and very caring. Dr. Hogan tend to each one of his patients himself! Sometimes that is what takes a long time is when he has patients that have many many questions and we know who we are, or new patients. As HE TYPES up his own diagnosis, he also talks up his diagnosis! Again, great doctor!

Bills for services not rendered; you won't ever know unless you watch your EOB. Never apologized or explained reason for overbilling my insurance. Jokes and plays too much, thinks everything is funny or joke worthy. Does what he wants regardless of what a patient says; not a partner in the patients healthcare. The wait, even with an appointment is well over 2 hours. May be involved in the community but not as a caring primary care manager interested in providing prompt, professional, quality health care to the community.

The waiting is really a problem.

I have received nothing more then top notch care from Dr Hogan and his staff!!People often judge a Dr like they do a cover of a book, If you do that with DR Hogan you will pass up reeiving nothing but a great caring person.

My family depends on Dr. Hogan for 1st rate medical care and we get it even though the wait is long. He is an excellent diagnostician and at multi- tasking. He will relate to you personally and always has a smile.

Wrong diagnosis. Waited over 3 hours to be seen, even with an appointment.
