Dr. Benny Lee Short, MD

My husband was referred to Susan B Allen hospital in El Dorado, KS. He was seen by Dr. Short. Vitals taken then husband was given the same diagnosis he was given by the immediate care facility. Was in ER for 8 hours waiting for Dr Short to treat his issue but then told my husband he really wasn't qualified to do the procedure and he'd just admit him and let the surgeon take care of him. He even noted the records that he was too busy to do the procedure and if he would have realized the time he would have admitted him earlier in the evening. We have fought this $1000 bill for zero treatment through a third party billing service (never able to reach the doctor directly). The bill has a single line item - Emergency Dept Visit.....asked for detailed info and was told this is adequate per the AMA standards. Avoid this rip off doc.

Diagnosises from across the room, never looks at problems, hasn't even listened to my chest,done anykind of exam. Avoid.
