Dr. Benson Monastersky, DDS

Dr. Monastersky grew up in Connecticut, where he attended the University
of Connecticut and earned a bachelor of arts degree. He then earned
a doctor of dental medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental
Medicine. Following two years in the U.S. Navy as a dentist, Dr.
Monastersky returned to Tufts where he earned a postgraduate certificate
in orthodontics.
Dr. Monastersky is a member of many professional organizations including
the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists,
Connecticut Society of Orthodontists, Hartford Dental Society, and the
Connecticut State Dental Association. Dr. Monastersky is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Orthodontics. He served as president of
the Hartford Dental Society from 1989 to 1990 and continues to serve on
committees of the Connecticut State Dental Society.
He has been enthusiastically practicing orthodontics in East Hartford
since 1968.
Dr. Monastersky is married and has two sons and a daughter as well as
…four grandsons and two granddaughters. In his spare time, he enjoys
playing tennis and golf and rooting for UCONN men’s and women’s
basketball teams.
