Dr. Berhane Siraw Asfaw, MD

Dr. Asfaw took care of my dad for a little over a week, and I truly don’t have the words to express how grateful we are. My dad was admitted with a severe infection after a complication from a previous procedure, and his fever reached 105. It was one of the scariest moments I’ve ever been through—I had never seen my dad like that before. Even with a full patient load, Dr. Asfaw took the time to answer all of my questions patiently, even though I don’t have a medical background. He was calm, thoughtful, and never once made me feel like a burden. He made sure we understood what was going on, and he constantly kept us updated while reviewing labs and adjusting the plan of care. What really stood out is how he treated my dad—with respect, compassion, and as if he truly mattered. He wasn’t in a rush to discharge him. When my dad’s condition became more unstable, Dr. Asfaw made the call to keep him under care longer, and that decision made a huge difference in his recovery. That’s when I… knew we were in the right hands. Our entire family is so thankful. Dr. Asfaw showed the kind of dedication, empathy, and professionalism that’s rare to find.
