Dr. Bernadette Eileen Davis, MD

IT was my first and last time visiting Dr.Davis. I saw her today because she was the on call doctor on Saturday. I explained to her that I was there because both my legs were beet red up to the knee. The left leg and foot were swollen and had liquid coming out of my leg. I explained that I have never had liquid coming out of my leg before. I also explained that I had shortness of breath. She proceeded to take out her stethoscope and ask me to lift up my shirt so she can listen to me breathe. When she was done she said I'm writing you a script for lasix and asked me what pharmacy. AS she appeared to be done with my visit I looked on with total amazement and said DR are we done? she replied yes. I was completely shocked and said DR. You never even looked at my legs. She replied oh you saw another doctor for the same problem on December 3rd, I said yeah that was 5 wks ago and I didn't have liquid coming out of my leg now I do. She said if u want I will look at your legs. I said yes… please do. She looked at them and said you probably have 20 pounds of fluid in there and said take the lasix. How can u see a doctor for a problem with your legs and the doctor wants to end the visit without examining your legs? This Doctor should NEVER work as a Doctor ever again.

I can never get an appointment with MY doctor. Instead I am always pushed off to a NP. If you can get ANYONE to answer a phone, consider yourself lucky. Her staff is horrendous, along with the entire system of this overgrown money grabbing factory. They do not believe in wellness, they do not believe in patient care, they do not believe in addressing concerns or assisting a patient with serious matters. This place has gone from a quaint medical group and grown into a corporate s**thole! Beware and be warned. You are better off managing your healthcare needs by going to Urgent Care. I give the doctor 1 star, because 0 is not an option. The few times I've been granted the honor of being allowed to see my Primary Care Physician she was so was rushed, brushed off my questions and concerns and made me feel like a waste of her time. As far as this so called "Medical Group", I'd give them negative stars if I could.

Knowledgeable and communicates well. Gave me good advice for how to treat a cold.

I have been seeing Dr. Davis Lorton for a couple of years now and I have only had trouble with her and her staff. I went for a physical where I had blood drawn and no one followed up with me. I left my cell phone number several times with her nurse and no one called me back. I finally spoke to her nurse who told me the wrong results and said that everything was fine. When I received the blood results in the mail I was in need of specific vitamins. The second time I went for a physical and got my blood taken, no one in her office would call me back to give the results so I waited for it to come in the mail. The final straw way when I went in to be tested for Lyme Disease. She said she ordered a Lyme Test. SHE DID NOT. I waited for two weeks for my results (while taking antibiotic) and every time I called I was told that the results were pending. Finally, I was told that my blood was NEVER tested for Lyme and my results had been discarded. I am furious with this doctor. I would not… recommend her at all.

Dr. Davis-Lorton is a smart doctor but seems to have lost her passion. When I was discussing my concerns about a GI issue, she just swept it aside and suggested I should live with it rather than try to pursue remedying it. She seemed to be going through the motions. And I never got a call from her office about my blood work. I had to call a couple weeks later and the results didn't come in the mail for a month...

She was very blase about my symptoms and almost seemed to find them humorous. I now have a full blown autoimmune/neurological disease and a great deal of nerve damage could have possibly been prevented if she had taken me seriously and been savvy enough to refer me to a rheumatologist like the doctor I saw after this visit was.

She seemed very rushed and had a poor bedside manner. Seemed not to really care about a medical history wrote a script for minimal blood tests. I saw a different doctor 3 months later who ran a variety of tests and quickly figured out what was wrong with me. I could have saved myself a lot of suffering if I had not seen this doctor.
