Dr. Bertram Caruthers, MD

I referred this doctor to a relative of mine because I thought he would be a good fit for their dermatological need. My relative made an appointment with him. They were on time for the appointment and had to wait for 30-minutes. When they finally got to see the doctor, he barley examined their skin--asked no questions that amounted to anything; He also told my relative that he himself suffered with a skin condition--making it about himself--as if that was going to bring my relative comfort. After spending less than 15=minutes with my relative--Dr. Carutherss wrote out a prescription and charged $145.00 for his "service". He did nothing worth that money and did not apologize for the 30-minute wait. I would not recommend him to another person. Sounds like he is in the profession now for the money--and not personal patient care. I regret I even referred him to my relative who really needs skin care help; not to be financially exploited.

Lifelong Dermatologist. No one else!

The wait for Dr. Caruthers is ridiculous! He triple-books patients. For example, my appointment was at 4 PM. When I arrived, four patients were waiting. Within 10 minutes timeframes, three patients entered to be seen. I inquired, and the patient before me had an appointment at 3:30 PM. It was 4:40 PM, and Dr. Caruthers still had four patients to see before he could see me. His usual wait time is 2 hours, if not longer before seeing his patients. This is ridiculous, regardless of a doctor's expertise.
