Dr. Beth Ann Adams, MD

Excellent dermatologist, but jumps around too much I've seen her at two locations, and now she's left the third..Anyone know where she practices now?

Dr. Adams was very thorough in her examination and diagnosis. She was attentive and actually took the time to listen to my concerns. She was genuinely caring, in contrast to previous experiences elsewhere where my concerns were overlooked, deemed invalid, and where conclusions seemed to be drawn prematurely without thorough investigation. Her level of experience is evident. She is kind-hearted, and treated us with respect and dignity. She explains things effectively and unrushed. Thank you for your diligence and demonstrating what exceptional and quality care is.

This was my first time with her and she was very professional and efficient and her staff was great did not have to wait long.

I saw her a few years ago and she misdiagnosed me. she confused excema with an infection. She gave me many antibiotics that did not help after several weeks I switched to another doctor who diagnosed and treated me properly.

Dr. Adams is the best. I've seen her several times over the past 4 years. She is the most thorough dermatologist I've ever seen (I've been getting skin checks for years). I've never felt rushed, and she always takes the time to answer my questions. Plus she's very nice and happy! It's always a pleasure to see her.

I really liked Dr Adams. She did a skin check and a biopsy on the same day. Her staff was very courteous. I will be returning, and recommended her to some family members.

I saw Dr. Adams for a skin problem I've had for awhile, and she was really nice and explained what the problem was. She even wrote down the name of my problem, and answered all of my questions. The medicine she gave me was really helpful. It took a few weeks to get an appointment, but I think that's pretty normal for a dermatologist. Reading these other reviews, I don't know if these people have ever been to a doctor before because most doctors see several patients an hour. The last dermatologist I saw a few years ago was literally in and out of the room in 2 minutes, but Dr. Adams spent my whole appointment listening to my problem and answering questions. I only waited about 5 minutes in the waiting room to see her. I will definitly see her again if I have a problem, and even told my wife to see her for her moles.

As you can see from the other reviews, Dr. Adams is clinically an excellent physician. I have been a patient of hers for two years, and when you can get to her and she takes the time to deal with your issues she is wonderful. She has helped me with two conditions that other dermatologists could not and I have been very happy with the results. She does not do fillers or cosmetic only procedures, but rather deals with real and serious issues of the skin. The problem is also what has been noted. Her practice is very busy, and she (like all physicians) is getting paid based on volume of patients seen. As a result, she can rush people through their appointments and can sometimes miss things that are important, or will tell you to make another appointment to come back and deal with it. Just getting an appointment can be trying. The receptionist is not helpful, and there is no flexibility in how they schedule patients. I have a condition that occurs intermittently and is very… painful when it flares up, but goes away after three to four days. Dr. Adams told me to come in the next time it happened, but when I call to make an appointment there are never any appointments and when you explain the situation to the receptionist the answer is always the same "you can try calling back later and seeing if there are any cancellations". By the time I get an appointment the condition has subsided. Very frustrating. My final thought is â?? if you have a serious skin related issue, take the time and deal with the frustrating aspects of her practice in order to see her. If you want a very sociable bed-side manner or a doctor that will sit and listen to all of your issues go elsewhere. I personally will go back to Dr. Adams to have serious matters diagnosed and an initial treatment identified, but will go to another physician for follow up care.

She is an awesome doctor but runs her office like a marine boot camp. If you are 10 minutes late, you are asked to reschedule your appointment but it's fine if you have to sit in the waiting area for 15 minutes past your appointment and sit in the examining room for another 10-15 minutes before you see the doctor. Promptness should be a 2 way street.

If you don't want to talk to the doctor about your conditions, if you don't want all your conditions addressed, you have found the perfect doctor for you. She limits all appointments to 15 minutes. She limits the number of issues to look at per visit regardless of importance. She will not take the time to hear about your symptoms. She is booking so many appointments in a day the service and attention to each patient is non existent. Factory assembly line approach to medicine.
