Dr. Beth Ballen, MD

I actually worked with Dr. Ballen in a hospital setting and she is smart and dedicated. Additionally I saw her for my medication management of my depression, anxiety and PTSD and found her to be incredibly good at providing me with just the right medications. In addition she is very kind and compassionate.

Dr. Ballen and her team are an amazing group of individuals who truly care about your needs. They listen to you and truly find a personal plan for you. Most psychiatrists have you in and out of their office in 15 minutes, not in this office. The entire team of people are kind, patient, and want the best for you. I would highly recommend this practice.

I’m rating Dr. Ballen and her practice a 2 because of her inaccessibility. I was a new patient to Dr. Ballen, and she prescribed me a mood stabilizer for severe depression. Psychiatric medications were brand new to me, so needless to say, I had many questions. I contacted the office with questions and requested to consult with Dr. Ballen. Four days later, I was offered a 30 minute appointment ($200) since Dr. Ballen had a cancellation. I didn’t feel I needed an appointment to simply ask a few questions about a new medication. Furthermore, I could not schedule the appointment due to my demanding work schedule. The other option provided to me was to write an email detailing my concerns. 10 days after starting this medication and four additional days later, I received an email response from Dr. Ballen. Though I appreciated the response, the timeliness of the response felt unacceptable for my progress. So, if you want a practitioner who provides ongoing engagement in your care, I do not… recommend Dr. Ballen.

Money pit

puts you on meds then won't give refills makes you keep coming in for $350 for 10 minute visit to give you another refill and they don't take insurance that should tell you something.

I’ve seen Dr Ballen for years. She is knowledgeable and caring. She offers a wide variety of treatments. She has helped stabilize my daily life.

Dr. Beth Ballen billed for multiple visits with me and yet I only spent 5 minutes actually in the same room as her. Gave me a prescription for a psychoactive drug based on nothing. She lied for her own financial gain and should not be practicing medicine in my opinion. I have since discovered that I was misdiagnosed and have an autoimmune disorder consistent with the symptoms I was actually experiencing and not the imaginary symptoms Dr. Ballen presumed that I had.
