Dr. Beth Fredman, PhD

I originally saw Dr. Fredman about 15 years ago and she helped me greatly at that time. It was my first time seeing a therapist and I had met with other therapists before selecting Dr. Fredman. She was calm, caring, and supportive. I felt she was there to listen to me without any judgment, just concern for my wellbeing. She taught me practical coping skills that helped me in other areas of my life too. Over the years, I often recalled her advice and how she helped me to see things from a different perspective. Recently I returned to Dr. Fredman and my experience has been the same as before. I'm very glad I found her and that she's still practicing after all these years!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Fredman for quite some time. She has always made time for me and is very patient with me. She has an amazing way of helping me see the big picture and offers several options for ways to handle the situations I come upon in life. Very greatful for having her in my life.

I've been a patient of Dr. Fredman for over 2 years. She has always made feel safe to discuss any subject. I enjoy our sessions, even when they can be challenging. She's very respectful, supportive and gives practical advice. Makes me feel understood and validated. Dr. Fredman as helped me put things into perspective. She is very accommodating to your schedule too. I would highly recommend her, as she has been truly beneficial to my emotional and mental well-being.

She is the worst therapist i ever been too. She is judge mental, and since I stopped going to her for therapy my life has changed for the better. I wouldn't recommend her to ANYONE.

I had a consultation with Dr. Fredman about a year ago coming out of an outpatient mental health treatment program. When I informed her of my mental health history (including attempts to end my life) she said to me, to my face, “I don’t think this is going to work out. I’ve never lost a client and I don’t want you to be the first.” The nonchalance on her face as she told me I’m destined to die is something I will never forget. How can this woman, who has a doctorate in psychology, say something so awful to a person’s face? As annoyed as I was that she apparently couldn’t handle a client with severe mental illness, what hurt me the most is what she said to me that day. I don’t trust her, and neither should you.

Unbelievable. For someone in the field of helping others, her attitude was incredibly rude and self-serving. Called to set up a visit and was told by her to get a "live person" on the phone for my insurance company to verify coverage! She's network, for goodness sake! She didn't want to verify details with the insurance company. She needs therapy herself - thank goodness we didn't waste our time by actually seeing her. Stay away.

She had a attitude from the very start of our conversation. Really bad too. She stopped me mid sentence when I mentioned she was in my network to tell me she won’t take my United Healthcare Oxford insurance since they don’t pay her when on time. Basically told me call them for them to suggest someone else. I quickly told her never mind and I’ll look for someone else. Horrible attitude!
