Dr. Beth Jaklic is a highly esteemed board-certified colon and rectal surgeon with an impressive 25 years of dedicated experience in the medical field. Renowned for her expertise, Dr. Jaklic is now focusing her practice exclusively on colonoscopy services, collaborating with the esteemed Dr. Keith Berger to enhance patient care in the Hampton Roads area. Her commitment to providing exceptional healthcare is evident in her extensive background and passion for patient well-being.A proud graduate of Emory University, Dr. Jaklic earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1990. She dedicated over two decades of her career to serving as a general and colorectal surgeon in the Navy, where she achieved the rank of Captain. Her surgical residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, now known as Walter Reed, laid the foundation for her distinguished career, particularly during her impactful tenure at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, where she …also served as the Program Director of the General Surgery residency.Since completing her colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota in 2000, Dr. Jaklic has made Virginia Beach her home. After retiring from the Navy in 2012, she continued to provide exemplary colon and rectal surgical care at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center for over seven years.
