Dr. Beth Rose Manoogian, MD

She is condescending and does not respond in a timely manner to concerns. If you are looking for quality care expecially with a chronic disease find another GI physician.

I would not recommend Dr Manoogian. She has a pleasant demeanor but didn't listen to me and didn't include me in making decisions about my own care. I felt very much like I had only one option- her plan. I understand that she's the professional with the education, but I am the patient with the symptoms and living with the diagnosis. She also very much made me feel like she didn't believe anything I said and then told me she wanted me to see psychology. I then sought out a 2nd opinion and found myself in urgent surgery less than 2 weeks after she told me that my symptoms were all in my head. She just didn't listen...

Avoid Dr. Manoogian at all costs! While she appears friendly during patient visits and has access to good equipment, you will experience very poor medical care. A few examples are: The doctor never follows up on anything herself. For instance she never contact her patients herself- even after a patient request and will only speak directly to patients during office visits. Instead, her method of communication is through random nurses acting as middlemen to relay information 2nd hand. Expect to play phone tag because the nurses are not knowledgeable and have to call you back after asking any questions. Another issue I had with her is that she has "fellows" perform her procedures. Expect a two month delay in getting an office visit- and that's with flaring symptoms. You will find yourself checking into ER rooms to receive care. The final item worth mentioning is she likes to run a lot of lab tests (which is fine) but in order to receive the results, I have to contact their office… and inquire- a nurse then calls me back and gives me the results- pass/fail. She just doesn't care about her patients.
