Dr. Beth Ann Prairie, MD

If I could give less stars, I would. She was dismissive, cut me off multiple times, and had fake empathy. Why is this person allowed around patients? I would like to see my insurance company reimbursed for this lack of care.

Hands down the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. Rude, condescending and disrespectful. She told me that I needed to get a hobby and my symptoms would resolve. Wasted my time. How is she even a doctor?

Worst doctor ever! I just saw her on3/23 very rude, cold did not address any of the reason a came to see her, I feel she hurt me during exam, the worst stay away, I feel after her very brutal exam i am having Incontinence issue now! I am going to be reporting her to state she has some major issues, I’m 60 went for exam she insisted on having a training doctor in the room even after I told her no, it was truly a circus, her was so rough I felt like I was assaulted, had terrible cramps for a couple days after her exam, now I feel like I am dripping pea after her visit which I never had before!! Run do not go here to her, she s very mean and hurtful

Worst patient communication ever.. very dismissive and downright rude.. I was in a vulnerable place and she made the whole visit so much worse.. I would NEVER recommend hee to anyone

I saw her for my annual appointment. I am overweight which I know and understand. I expressed concern about pain in my lower abdomen. She told me she couldn’t even address the issue because I was too overweight. She did my exam and shamed me the whole time for being overweight. I left in tears and feeling like absolute crap. I understand the issues being overweight can cause with my health, but my lower abdomen pains were caused by a cyst I later found out. She ignored my concerns because I am overweight. Her bedside manner is atrocious.

Unfortunately, I experienced a similar situation to those above. I had a very good experience with a colleague of Dr. Prairie, and chose to go back to Midlife Associates for my yearly pap. I wanted to discuss birth control options and multiple times through out her explanation, she would stop and tell me that my eyes and head nods(in acknowledgment) told her that I was "zoning out" and not listening to her. I explained that with wearing a mask, she could only see my eyes, and that yes I was not only paying attention, but weighing my options. She stopped 3 times to say this to me. Then, when I asked her birth control opinion, she told me, "I don't know you. How can I give you my opinion if I don't know you". She also stated that if I had been her patient for the last ten years, and knew my history, then she would be able to give me her opinion. She asked what my goal was, and I told her "not to get pregnant". I am sure she is knowledgable and capable, but her bedside manner… will leave you wondering, "What just happened in there?"

I saw Dr. Prairie once. I had not been for a pap in four years and she was incredibly mean about it. I am also overweight, and she made sure I felt really shamed about it throughout the appointment. She actually told me - pre-exam - that she felt there was a good likelihood that I had cancer. Honestly, she was the most unkind doctor I have ever had examine me, and when you're lying on an exam table having a pelvic exam, you shouldn't have to feel ashamed and afraid in addition to the natural vulnerability of the procedure.

Unprofessional, cold, and uncaring in her approach and in her interactions. I would never ever return to her. She made me feel insignificant. Didn't listen to my concerns and talked down like I was beneath her. She focused on weight (I'm NOT overweight.) and ignored my concerns. Better going to a general doctor for gynecological concerns than this woman. She is cold.

I recently had an appt with Dr. Prairie and it was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. She asked me how many times a week I work out and I told her 3X per week And she actually had the gaul to ask me if I could work out more, maybe 4-5X per week.. Imagine saying that to somebody and shaming them in such a way. And then when I told her about my symptoms, as I've gone into menopause early, all she could say is "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" which made me feel very uncomfortabl. Why is she sorry? I'm not sorry. Lastly, to make matters even worse, I had specifically scheduled my appointment with her for bioidentical hormone therapy. I was referred by another doctor within the network. When I made the appointment the receptionist said nothing. When I arrived and talk to the nurse about this she said nothing. Only when Dr. Prairie had made me feel incredibly horrible did she then announce (at the very end of the visit) that she doesn't prescribe bioidentical hormone… therapy. What?!!! What an incredible waste of an entire morning for which I took off work. The experience was horrible. Her bedside manner is awful. And on top of that she's incredibly rude and oblivious about her rudeness. I would never recommend an appt with Dr. Prairie to anyone!

I wish I had read all of the reviews on multiple sites BEFORE wasting my time to go to see this woman. THE WORST BEDSIDE MANNER of a Doctor I have encountered in my 54 years on this earth. I went to her for menopausal problems. She refused to take a metabolic panel of my hormones and she insulted me telling me that I am just depressed and I should be taking anti-depressants !!! I told her "Really !?!? I didn't know that you were board certified or licensed to practice psychiatry !!!" This woman should NEVER have gone into the field of medicine. If you read all of the rating sites beside this one you will see SCORES OF 1 STARS ! If after reading these reviews you schedule an appointment, then you get what you deserve !
