Beth Shaine

Beth Shaine was my provider when I was in high school and I always dreaded going to see her. One memory that stands out to me was when after pressing on my stomach during the physical assessment, she told me to start doing ab workouts. I have never been overweight in my life and was actually underweight for a lot of high school so I was very confused why she would say this to me. And even if I did need to workout more, she could have instead encouraged me to continue engaging in physical activity rather than telling me to do specific ab workouts after feeling my belly. She was also aware that I was a three season athlete all of high school and an avid runner... This made me pretty insecure if I'm being honest after the appointment. She should be more careful about what she says to young girls about their weight, especially if they are a healthy weight already.

I will not be scheduling any future appointments with this nurse practitioner. I agree with the other comment. I find this practitioner to be condescending, judgmental, and pushy with her opinions. While pushy with her own opinions, she did not offer any insight to my specific questions and seemed confused by them. I do not recommend this person and will avoid her.

Very judgemental and always pushes her personal opinion and preferences onto me. A fellow mother in our town has told me she experienced similar feelings about her. I refuse to see her again. This is the 3rd experience I've had with her and all 3 times she made me feel like breastfeeding my child should be considered a burden, that whether or not I do the flu shot is her call and that I didn't know my own child better than her. She told me my son was fine and it must be because I'm a new parent that I called so quick and 6 hours later he was hospitalized... I find her untrustworthy and judgemental
