Dr. Beth Ann Wiedel, MD

Phenomenal experience at this practice and with Dr. Wiedel. Dr. Wiedel was the first doctor that made me feel fully heard. She took her time to ask me questions about everything I was experiencing, gave me context to how the questions related to my symptoms, and provided an array of options to move forward with. She didn’t dismiss or diminish any of the pain I had mentioned, and made me feel comfortable enough to keep asking questions. I never felt rushed or nervous in the room (having had some poor experiences with obgyn’s in the past, this was really major for me). It is really clear that Dr. Wiedel cares about her patients and about them feeling in control and at ease throughout the appointment. I’m really glad to have found her.

Just moved to the area, 5 people from work recommended her, must walk on water, because I tried to get a new patient appt, have to book 6 months out, tried to see her for infection, told to go to urgent care for a UTI, can't even get an appointment with Nurse Practitioner for UTI.... Going to Urgent care for a non urgent malady is expensive and not good use of urgent care or my time.... just tell people you don't want new patients.... not going to waste my time with this practice at all

Dr. Wiedel is smart, compassionate, and always spends as much time with me that I request/need. She puts me at ease and has an excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend her to anone who is need of a GYN/OB physician.

I had a midwife for my first pregnancy, for my second I had Dr. Wiedel. She came highly recommended from midwives in the area, but I was not happy with her care. She is very smart, but lacks compassion. We had complications during my pregnancy and at 7 months she called me and asked if I wanted to have an abortion...I had never hinted that I was even interested in this, so I was shocked that she asked. It was not only that she asked, but the way she asked...over the phone. Dr. Wiedel didn't ask how we were coping with the diagnosis, how we were feeling, etc., just did we want to look at abortion. I feel like that is not something you ask over the phone, That phone call made me cry more than the actual diagnosis. I also had multiple ultrasounds at Meriter, and the Perinatologist would say one thing and then I would go to the clinic for my regular appointment and she would say the opposite, like she had not prepared for our appointment at all. Her appointments with us always seemed… rushed. The facility is beautiful, the nurses and front desk staff are friendly, but this is not a Dr. you can connect with...despite diagnosis we had PERFECT, HEALTHY BABY!
