I can't imagine working with any other doctor for my child's growth disorder. Caring and thoughtful, Dr. Schwartz takes the time to explain thoroughly, with patience and calm, the diagnosis and treatment plan. A congenital lifetime concern feels like "no big deal" because we know that Dr. Schwartz is on top of the issue. I hope you never need a pediatric endocrinologist, but if you DO, don't go ANYWHERE else in the Metro.

Parents of diabetic children know how managing this disease can be overwhelming. Some of the first few visits with Dr. Schwartz after my daughter was diagnosed with diabetes, I felt like such a failure as a parent while we waited to be seen for our appointment. I would worry she would tell me I wasn't doing adjustments timely or correctly. That I should be doing a better job with nutrition and food choices for my picky eater. She NEVER did. I stopped worrying. Gained confidence in the care I gave my daughter and realized what she knew. The fluctuations in numbers and the never ending adjustments will be the norm for a long time; until my daughter is done growing and probably an adult. It's not because I am failing her or not doing things fast enough. She has been wonderful to have as my daughter's Dr.

She has amazing bedside manner, she made my daughter feel very comfortable. She noticed an issue unrelated to the visit that other doctors missed, which could have saved her life.
