I have been a patient of Dr. Villafuerte for at least 15 years. She is the most caring, thorough, compassionate Dr. that I have ever had! I can't tell you how sorry that I am to see her retire! You will be greatly missed Dr. Villa! Pat Bowman your teacher patient

I have been a patient of Dr. Betty Villafuerte for many years. I find her to be kind and caring but I also love her frankness. There are times that the truth must be said. She also treats my adult daughter. When my daughter went to Dr. Villafuerte her A1C was very high, her weight and blood pressure were out of control. In a matter of 7 months, my daughter's weight is down 45 lbs, her blood pressure is down to normal and her A1C is down to normal.

I was very pleased with Dr. Villafuerte's assessment of my condition. She seemed to get to the root cause of my problems faster than my Norton Hospital specialists, who I also admire. I am glad I chose a U of L physician to help address this problem.

I ended up leaving the practice because it took 2 weeks to read labs and they were only read then because I called - and then once it took over a month and I had to call three times. This was particularly bad because I needed a medication adjustment based on my lab work, and I was feeling pretty bad without the adjustment for that month.
