Dr. Beverly Ann Dunn, MD

Dr. Dunn is quite thorough and competent. She takes nothing for granted.

I think Dr. Dunn is excellent - she has been my physician for a long time and I trust her opinion totally.

If you have a cold or minor ailment, this is the doctor to go to because it's easy to get an appointment. But if there's something seriously wrong, go elsewhere. I really don't feel she's a good diagnostician. She has missed two major things with me. She also doesn't seem to keep up with technology, hence she seems to miss the latest medical information. She's very nice, takes lots of time with you, but frankly, I'm not confident in her skills. She also takes no insurance. Her office staff is excellent.

What I like is that I can come in the same day if I'm sick. If I have a cold or flu, she's great. She's very personable and really LISTENS. The office staff is the nicest I've ever met and will always squeeze you in. What I don't like is that she seems to over prescribe. I always walk out the door with an unnecessary prescription which I usually throw out. I haven't been overly impressed with her diagnostic skills either. She missed something pretty major once.She doesn't take insurance, which is a major inconvenience, and her office doesn't use computers. She really needs to get up to date on technology.

I tried another internist since Dr. Dunn is not in my network. Bad experience. I guess it is worth the extra money to have such a good and caring doctor. I highly recommend her.
