Dr. Beverly Joan Fanz

I’m like most dental patients, we cringe when we go because we only visit when we have a problem. But I just cracked a filling over the weekend and Dr Fanz and her team squeezed me into the schedule on Monday, and even though it was the end of the day, they stayed over to get me fixed up. I have been to butchers who claimed to be Dentist before, Dr Fanz and her team are the best I’ve ever been to in 50 years!

Office staff helpful and nice. Ms. Fanz is rude. Here is why. I asked the hygentist if I could go back with my 9 year old son to have his cavity filled since he had recently had an expanders and brackets on he was a little worried about having the filling. We went back, Ms. Fanz acted as though I wasn't in the room. She numbed my son, she left. Immediately my son's outside of the jaw swelled and started bleeding outside his lower jaw. I called for the hygentist to come back in. I asked her about the swelling and blood. She said my son scratched himself. There was no way, he didn't have nails nor was he picking anything. Well she cleaned it up and walked out again. Moments later Ms. Fanz returned to fill the cavity (I hope). It was 30 seconds of work. As she went to walk out of the room she came to me and rudely said I was not allowed to come back with my son she said having me back there makes her, the other hygentist nervous and my kid. I didn't know what to say. I said nothing and… was so taken back by her comment. I asked my son if I made him nervous being there with him he said no I make him feel safe. After we left I looked at his outside jaw, took pictures. I believe Ms. Fanz had the numbing needle go through his cheek by his lower jaw and since I questioned it, she got defensive and retaliated by telling me I wasn't allowed back there. I told my husband what happened. He looked at my son's outside jaw area and concluded as what I suspected. He also said she was rude to him on the occasion he saw her. He stated he is okay with the other dentist, but Ms. Fanz was very unpersonable. She is rarely there she is usually out and another dentist takes her spot.

Dr. Fanz is the best dentist I have had I my 66+ years. Her staff is very professional and highly knowledgeable. Best of all, the entire staff performs their dental procedures with great accuracy. I have had excellent success with all my dental work at Dr. Fanz office. Best Dental Office in Dayton, Ohio area.

I teach high school in the area. A few years back, I went to ImmediaDent for a cleaning as I was new to the area and they accepted new patients that day. I was given the false information that I needed a very expensive deep cleaning before they would even touch my teeth. Being a meticulous brusher and flosser, I found this very hard to believe, and went to several other dentists for a second opinion. Dr. Fanz and her staff looked at my teeth and found what I had already expected, I had absolutely no problems with my gums, no gingivitis, nor had I any need for a deep cleaning procedure. We have used her for years now and my family and I recommend her 100%. She has always saved me money and her staff is very polite. I strongly advocate for dentists who choose not to â??sellâ?? dentistry to a patient, but instead fix problems with minimally invasive procedures.

My experience with this office has been horrible. I have never experienced an unprofessional setting in my life. I paid for a crown that I never received because they said it didn't fit and tried to make me pay more money. She sent me to endodontics to make me spend more more. She admitted it to the Dr. and he documented it in his records. I have reported her to the board and would never set foot in that office. They kicked me out and was very rude and nasty in their language to me. Horrible experience I wouldn't want my worst enemy to experience.
