Dr. Bhagyalakshmi V Arvapalli, MD

Dr. Arvapalli is one of the best. I really enjoyed having her as my physician during a recent hospital stay. She is very kind, responsive, and knowledgeable.

Dr.arvapalli came around for 3-5mins every day and told me the absolute minimum about my health status. I had serious strep throat that caused an infection but I also had been dealing with enlarged tonsils for years. Instead of consulting with an ent about getting a tonsilectomy (after my infection was dealt with) she instead treated me with round the clock steroids and round the clock antibiotics. It was found that the steroids was making the infection WORSE! not only that but she ordered another round of steroid after she let it slip that it was harming me. I refused!! my infection cleared up almost completely. For 4 days the nurses and other doctors where wondering why my white blood cell count was almost triple the normal amount and Dr. Arvapalli was the reason why. Thank God I refused the last round of steroids. LONG STORY SHORT. I asked her about why we never considered the tonsillectomy and about why it couldn't have been done. Her answer was short and abrupt; make an… appointment with an outpatient dr and deal with it selectively. I thought wow. This is how we help people these days. How sad. I will never go back to this hospital just in fear of getting this dr. Again.

Dr A was very abrupt, spoke out of turn barged in upon a visit from the chapel as if they were not even there.. . The prescription was not complete unable to contact her nor was the pharmacist able to get a phone call from her.
