Dr. Barai is an amazing medical professional with impressive credentials but it is his kindness and attention to each individual patient that sets him apart from others. His office and medical staff are all well trained, professional and treat each patient as if they were family. This doctor is only out for Money. My father went to this doctor for over 11 years. He would send my dad for the same tests over and over. Then after 3 months of tests and the longer the cancer had to spread. Finally he would start Chemo. This doctor is out for more quantity of patients then the quality of getting his patients cured! He hung up on his me 2 times when I was just trying to find out what was going on with my father. He has no bed side manner and would hardly visit my father when he was in the hospital, and when he did visit he would have the hospital run the same tests that they had just ran the week before. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone!

Dr. Barai has been my wife's oncologist for more almost 18 years now. An extremely intelligent man, his knowledge is unsurpassed. When we were first referred to him, we were told that he is the toughest oncologist in this area. We were told by nurse friends of ours that "his patients many times go through more rigorous therapies than do patients of other Oncologist, but it is also a fact that he has more cancer patients walking the streets of Lake County than any other Oncologist". That was enough for us and we have been satisfied now for almost 18 years. Yes if you get an appointment with Dr. Barai, you will wait, that is a guarantee. But his ability is worth a few minutes or even a few hours of our time when my wife's life was on the line. You wait because there are so many who want and need to see him.

The doctor was very condescending. He asked inappropriate questions about my mental fitness when that was not the reason I was there. He also commented that I was the cause of my own problem when the disorder he was seeing me for is not controlled by the patient. I would make comment to the Licensing Board, but he works for them, so that wont help!
