Dr. Bharat K Upadhyay, MD

Hospital told me my MRI and other diagnostics should be examined by a lung specialist. So I made an appointment at Dr. U's office telling them the reason for my appointment. When I showed up Dr. U said I needed to get him a disk with the diagnostics. Visit took 15 minutes. I took Lyft to Radiology, got a copy and then to Fed Ex to send it. I have no car and office was far. Day before my second appointment I phoned and asked if they had disk. Nurse looked and sauid could not find it. If they did I would be phoned and given an appointment. Weeks went by so I decided to write Dr. U. No reply. But I did get a bill. Dr. U listed me as a "new patient" and charged Medicare $358 and was paid $173 for his 15 minutes. I was charged an additional $35. He can come and get it

My 90 mother had an appointment with Dr. Upadhyay, because she was complaining of severe shortness of breath and gastrointestinal problems. Instead of admitting her into the hospital for tests he sent her home. My brother decided to take her to Port St. Lucie emergency room. Thank goodness he did, because she had fluid in her lungs and a severe gastrointestinal infection. The hospital had to drain her lungs twice and she was given intravenous drugs to clear up the infection. It is hard to believe that Dr. Upadhyay, a pulmonary doctor, could not hear the fluid in her lungs. As far as I am concerned he is an incompetent uncaring doctor.

I went to see Dr. UPadhyay based on 2 referrals. I was seen within minutes of my appoint,met time, both he and his medical assistant were attentive and through. I was most impressed .

This was my first visit. Dr. was attentive and easy to talk to. I was very pleased; tests are underway and my follow up has not yet happened.

This office seriously needs to take courses in Professional Etiquette

I love a doctor who makes you feel completely comfortable right from the start. You can relax because you know you are in good hands. Calm, considering, and friendly. Dr. Upadhyay is terrific. And Heart & Family Health has been very good to me for the past three years. Always good staff. Everything pretty much under one roof and now they have the patient online portal. Perfect!
