Summary
Biana Roykh, DDS
Family
and childhood friends know that I dreamed of becoming a dentist since I was
twelve years old. I immigrated to the US with my family from Odessa, Ukraine at
the age of eleven. United States opened up many opportunities for me and allowed
me the education I needed to realize my desire to be involved as an oral heath
care expert in people’s lives. I wake up every morning with a smile, knowing
that I will be attending to my patients and improving their quality of life.
This is why I called my practice – Dream Dental.
I graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Human Physiology and then went on to gain
admission into the world-renowned UCSF School of Dentistry.
UCSF is the leader in dental and health research and I am forever grateful for
the top-notch training I received throughout my four years there. Throughout
dental school, I dedicated myself to community service, leadership and patient
care. I was nominated and inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon
National …Honor Dental Society and was elected class speaker at the
commencement ceremony in 2006.
Dentistry is an exciting growing field
with many new innovations and technologies: from implants to same day
restorations, to cutting edge research on future possibilities of regenerating
teeth. It is this expansiveness of the field that led me to apply to a
General Practice Residency at the University of Nevada School of
Medicine in Las Vegas. During this residency, I worked with special needs and
health compromised patients in both a private practice setting and at the UMC
Hospital. I got training in placement and restoration of dental implants,
preservation and augmentation of bone. I learned advanced surgical techniques
including extractions of wisdom teeth, cosmetic dentistry such as veneers and
smile makeovers, orthodontics, advanced root canal therapy using a microscope
and pediatric care. I also received special training in IV conscious
sedation and am certified for outpatient care
sedation. I am so enthusiastic that this training allows me to offer my patients
the best of dentistry!
I left my heart in San Francisco… In 2007 I
returned to San Francisco and got married to my dental school sweetheart. We
have two little kids and live in Daly City, CA. I have been in private practice
in San Francisco since 2007, serving the beautiful diverse patient population of
the city by the bay.
My interests in dentistry include private practice,
education and community outreach. This guided me to a very versatile career
path. I have been teaching dental students at the UCSF School of Dentistry as an
Assistant Clinical Professor – volunteer for four years now. I
am also the Co-Director of the Dental Post-Baccalaureate
Program at the San Francisco State University with the University of Pacific
School of Dentistry partnership. These are all testaments to my commitment and
love of this profession.
I have a successful practice in the historic 450
Sutter Building in Downtown, San Francisco, where I am privileged to see
patients and care for their needs. I can’t wait to welcome you into our friendly
and caring office. Every patient visit is an opportunity for me to better
someone’s life and that is true virtue!
Thank you for your
interest and Welcome to Dream Dental!
