Dr. Bianca Celeste Chin

I put more on my Google review but she cut me open for what was supposed to be an easy procedure and I ended up bleeding out all over and feeling tons of pain. I still have lasting affects and she won't return my lengthy email... do NOT recommend...

I have been trying to think of what to write and how to address what happened ever since my incident on Feb 17th. I will try to put everything into words. It is hard for me to articulate all I have been feeling and going through. I know what happened was a surprise to us all. I know we all thought it would be a 2 minute procedure and then it turned into a horrifying nearly 2 hour surgery. My local wore off during it and I began to feel pain. I remember telling everyone in the room that I could feel pain and even described details of what I was feeling. I remember it all like it was yesterday. I remember blood suddenly gushing all down my head and pooling in my ear several times. I remember the pressure she held against my head trying to get it to stop bleeding. I remember feeling the strong pulse in my temple as it was bleeding down my face and neck. I even told them I could feel the pulse. I remember her saying she couldn't get it to stop bleeding and I remember nearly passing… out on the table from the pain, blood loss and my body going into shock and shaking uncontrollably. I actually thought I might bleed out and die on that table. I was praying and had tears flowing down my cheeks. I am SO thankful to the two nurses in the room. One holding my hand and one holding my shaking legs and trying to comfort me. I needed them. I could tell by how everyone was acting that it was serious and I was scared. I just wanted it all to be over. It was a nightmare. It has left me traumatized. I had a very hard time walking back into the office the week following the appointment and didn't know what to say. I didn't want to be there at all. I had anxiety just walking back into that building. I know Dr Chin has apologized to me numerous times for what happened and all that went wrong. I am scared to go back under and have more surgery. It terrifies me. I still have swelling and its very hard and lumpy in my temple. The lump is bigger than when I went in. I have numbness in my left temple as well. I occasionally get a pulling sensation in the area. It is still tender in other areas. My right eye has always been my smaller and a "lazy" eye. Now my left eye is smaller after this procedure. I hope it goes back to normal. I can't chew gum or steak very well or for very long bc I can feel a weird pressure in my left temple. I don't know how long it will take to fully heal but I am worried about permanent damage. I am wondering what she cut when she did my procedure. I have talked to family members that are in the medical field... OR nurses, critical care nurses and even two surgeons. All of them are "appalled" at what happened and can't believe what I went through. They all said I should get answers and that I'm owed answers.

Dr. Chin was amazing. I am a survivor of breast cancer and would drive 3 hours to see her for her to be my plastic surgeon. I can't say enough great things about her bedside manner, caring, and the BEST reconstruction. When comes to getting DIEP, she is the BEST. I'm 31 now and so thankful I found Dr. Chin.

Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. Chin completed my reconstruction. She was very attentive and helped me through everything. She made me feel like I was a priority and treated me as such. She is a very caring person and an even better surgeon.

Dr. Chin is the BEST when it comes to reconstructive plastic surgery. I was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago and was referred to Dr. Chin for my breast reconstruction. She was caring, informative, warm and reassuring that everything would be fine. She and her awesome nurses took great care of me over an almost two year period of time. It is rare to find such a talented surgeon who is also a warm and engaging person as well. I can't say enough good things about her. You will definitely be in good hands with Dr. Chin.

Dr. Chin and her staff are very attentive, courteous and helpful. Dr. Chin lays out all the information about the procedure and possible risk in both verbal, visual and written form prior to surgery. She utilizes technology to help monitor progress post surgery and was there to answer any questions that arose during the healing process. She was recommended to me from a different hospital network where I received care due to her reputation as one of the best micro-surgeons in the area. In the age of the larger hospital machine this speaks volumes to her work and reputation within the field. My experience lived up to the well deserved praise.
