Dr. Bibi H A M Alamiri, MD

While Dr. Alamiri is extremely kind and good with children, she does push medication to an uncomfortable degree when it’s evident it’s unhelpful and even damaging. My daughter was prescribed medication for ADHD, a stimulant, which caused incredibly violent, scary, and destructive outbursts, often directed towards herself. It was incredibly out of character for it, and only existed within the medication. When concerns were brought to Dr.Alamiris attention, she tried to diagnose my daughter with bipolar disorder (an inaccurate diagnosis, since confirmed by other psychiatrists) and continued to increase the dose, with worse and worse effects on my daughter each time. When I protested and asked to wean my daughter off the medication against Dr.Alamiris advice, my daughter went back to her normal, happy, peaceful self and it has not happened since (2+ years). While my daughter, and myself, did like Dr. Alamiri because of her kind and comforting demeanor, I don’t believe she is in the right… field of work. Pushing increased doses of a medication on a child that is so obviously reacting poorly is extremely dangerous, and is ultimately the reason we discontinued Dr. Alamiris services and treatment.

Dr. Alamiri is such a kind, compassionate doctor. Our family has been through so much and with the help of Dr. Alamiri, our daughter is making great strides and moving in the right direction. She is so calm, passionate and intelligent. We will be forever grateful!
