Dr. Bilal Saulat, MD

I waited in the examination room for over an hour before the practitioner entered, with no acknowledgment of the length of time I had been waiting. He immediately began discussing medication coverage and whether it would be covered by insurance, which felt inappropriate without first establishing rapport or reviewing my medical history. Throughout the appointment, the practitioner displayed a judgmental demeanor and a lack of professionalism, making remarks such as, “we cannot replace this part of your brain,” and “We are not your mother to keep telling you to fix your posture.” He appeared to approach the session with a fixed mindset based on a brief review of my chart, rather than demonstrating openness or curiosity. He frequently interrupted me, selectively engaged with what he chose to hear, and appeared to jump to conclusions. Additionally, he spent the majority of the appointment typing notes rather than attending to my concerns. Overall, the experience felt extremely bizarre.

I have travelled across state lines to see Dr Saulat for chronic neurological conditions for many years, as I had deep trust in his Clinical acumen and judgement. His bedside skills are excellent. He is deeply trusted as a compassionate care provider and his treatment recommendations are not only patient centered but also effective and precise

Dr. Saulat lacked compassion and empathy for someone suffering a chronic condition.
